Kathy’s Bowls

The sun is rising over the roofs brushing the trees with morning kisses.  Stifling summer heat is a few short hours away.  From her porch, a half-dozen different kinds of birds sing to the morning light and cool air.  She knows that there will be no rain this week.

Thus continues her daily habit of cleaning and filling the bowls of water she will put out for the families of red foxes that pass through her yard.  She provides for these wild neighbors.  They can find food easily enough, but water is not so easy to come by in these parts.
